This album is practically devoid of the verbal diarrhea that people criticised his earlier work for and is easily his most straight forward lyrically speaking

Watsky doesn't have any of the self-awareness that Aesop lays out in this album. Aesop has always balanced out his ,"learn a lesson from me" tracks with "I'm kinda shitty and surprised you people care what I have to think" tracks.

it's nothing like jazz rap (I enjoy the genre) but its's still all right. the album is kind of made to be enjoyed on psychedelics, and of the three rappers 2 are uber generic and 1 is off the wall fascinating. you'd be better off listening to Koi Child though if you want good 2016 jazz rap.
