Hey /mu/ any suggestions on a cheap synth under $300?
Pic related cause I already have this one
Good luck. You can find a used microKorg for that much, but not much else. A decent synth will set you back, at the least, $500.
I suggest you either save more money or just buy a MIDI keyboard and install a DAW.
Shop around on craigslist and the like, I got a microbrute for a pretty decent price, especially considering it's already one of the more affordable synths
I got a microbrute for 250 on amazon
Alpha Juno
Poly800
Poly61
Jx3p (if you can find one that cheap)
Arturia Microbrute
Get one of these
It's meant to replicate the juno 106 but it only costs about £250
i bought an alesis v25, did i fall for a meme? I was bored, it was $50

Fucking THIS THIS THIS.
I did the exact same thing last week. Literally the single best synth you can get under $300 dollars, when the quality and output makes it
worth what a $600 synth would deliver

I like my microbrute but I wouldn't say it's close to a $600 synth. The ability to interface with eurorack is cool, but there are a ton of interesting monos blow it out in the under $600 price point. (Retrowave R-1, Vermona Mono, Moog Minitaur, DSI evolver, ect..)
I've got an Ensoniq ESQ-1. It's a weird instrument but it can make some kickass sounds if you put in the time to learn how to make patches. I got mine for $175 at a pawn shop.
It's not exceptionally versatile, but this video does a good job showing what it can do.

For $50 you're getting a good deal for a pretty darn good midi controller. Get a DAW or a softsynth for your computer and you're good to go.
