Scanned through this and some of the entries on bands I love were actually pretty funny. Not triggered. IDK about the criteria for selection because it seems to be an arbitrary collection of popular albums from disparate genres.
He usually doesn't even trash the artist. In the article for Coltrane, for example, I might have been triggered because I love him. However, he only trashes people whose appreciation of jazz is confined to Coltrane & Davis' most famous albums and listen to those artists for psued reasons. Of course that's lame, everyone thinks those people are lame. It's a facile observation not even worth expressing.
What actually makes me cringe a bit is that someone was buttfrustrated enough to put this whole thing together...

Saying that Jeff Buckley sings off-key is just objectively incorrect. He admits to not even listening to several of the artists he dismisses, and then he just adds some dumb damage control of "hurr if you disagree you're a hipster". I don't know how you can be so un self-aware as to write all this nonsense on hipsters and then go on to shit on a huge number of popular, critically acclaimed artists as if you're not doing exactly what hipsters are said to do.
His entire point is complaining about people who listen to music for image, and then dismisses numerous artists just because of their image. What a hack.
I like a few of the bands on the list, but most of them I've grown out of. Half of them I haven't even heard of. I guess that makes me not a hipster????
