I prefer Unknown Pleasures. Closer is too ethereal and new wave for me. That little hint of abrasiveness Unknown Pleasures has that Closer lacks really outweighs the morbidness of Closer in my opinion.

But I can see why other people would feel otherwise.

Absolutely not, Unknown Pleasures is far more universal and groundbreaking

disorder is objectively joy divisions best song, but their best album is very subjective i think.
personally, i like closer more for the reasons that >>66170455 didnt like. ethereal and atmospheric music is a favorite style of mine.
