Props on the ELO! Fucking masterpiece of an album. Looks like you are open minded and into the more psychedelic end of the musical spectrum with a fondness for catchiness and good songwriting. I'd recommend checking out the psych rock band Aura Blaze, would be right up your alley id wager

Right on, you'd definitely like them then, especially the wacky glistening synths on this one once the instruments kick in: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDKjf9Lmemo Trippy as balls. Also you'd be into Tame Impala, kind of the same vein as Aura Blaze with the whole retro/psych thing going on. Their new album Currents has a lot of 80s esque synths on it.

It's tinny, scatty chops and doesn't really find any rhythmic flow. There's zero bass line and irritating 'twinkles' throughout. Nothing vocally appeals to me.
I'm obviously wrong though because the album is universally acclaimed and /mu/ collectively loves it but whatever
