Anyone else get the impression that Fantano isn't honest? I was looking at his RYM and he gives a lot of 10s, and he gives 10s to the same classics that everyone expects to get a 10. It's like he feels he'll get backlash if he doesn't give 10s to certain albums. IDK but I think 10s should be really special, not just the same albums everyone expects to get a 10.

I feel that, I personally have not watched one of his videos in a while (4 months). He does defend the scores he gives to albums very well (like any good critic). He also is a very pretentious music nerd, so thats another reason why he does not give tens out willy-nilly like.
I also agree with you. the appeal of this guy is that he does not toss out 10's like its the local thotty, because no one will go to him if it was so damn easy to get a perfect score.

but its subjective, his reviews are of course opinion. everyone is going to have different ideas on what makes a 10, or a 6 or even a 1.
