Which is the most /mu/ city and why is it Austin?
Pyongyang
I dunno I'm in Austin and last year I picked Philly for best city 2015 but this years SXSW was very awesome even if Everything Everything cancelled one show right before they went on and their other show started before they let in non-wristbands. Both times fucked my schedule up very badly but that's why there's always about 3 backup shows.

I read this question as meaning what city best matches /mu/'s form of autism, until I saw you meant Austin.
Austin is overrated.
Lived here for a little over a year now and it's pretty boring.
Then again I'm borderline autistic and don't talk to anyone so that might be the problem.

Inter Arma, Withered, Lions of Tsavo at The Sidewinder[9pm, all ages]
Marissa Nadler, Wrekmeister Harmonies, Muscle and Marrow at The Sidewinder [8pm, all ages]
Inside and outside stages so I guess I'll have to pay for both instead of getting a 2 for 1
Austin is only interesting if you're from Texas and have never been to a real interesting city. It's like a giant suburb and only slightly above Dallas in terms of culture.

It's Portland, but no one wants to admit it. Maybe gentrified Brooklyn, since Kanye.

Portland is pretty goddamn /mu/. I recall having Slint, Swans, Tame Impala, Death Grips, Sleep, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Flaming Lips play in the same year

Austin had Swans and Deafheaven play the same night.

Would you say that it's obviousness in it's relation to /mu/ makes it not very /mu/ at all? I'd also say that the musical culture of Portland is solidifying way too fast, to the point where musical experiementalism would need to find a new home. If everyone is some limp-wristed guitarist with a synthfriend, there would not be enough substance to call it /mu/.

>The Flaming Lips
I don't think so. That implies /mu/tants still like their entry level.

funny since Austin is basically a discount Porland

neat.
I'm seeing them play at Mohawk this year in September. Hope its a good show.
