why does pearl jam suck so much?
>>
They don't suck, they just influenced at lot of shit that sucked.
>>
>>66116507
>boring riffs
>generic singer
they kind of do suck
>>
First album was god tier and was copied by every band for the next 10 years.

They then made pure shit for next 30 years.

2nd and 3rd albums r good tho

In 93-94 people would laugh if u said smashing pumpkins or stone temple pilots would be more respected

OP sucks. Pearl Jam have 4 top-tier albums, several good ones, and some shit ones.

nice pleb opinions there m8.
>>
First 3 albums are great.
Next two are ok.
Everything after is pretty ass.

Yield is fantastic though.
PJ fans seem to like self-titled but I could never get into it.
I prefer all albums prior to it.
>>

Smashing Pumpkins are eons better than Pearl Jam, STP is about on par.
>>
>>66118897
all grunge is pleb anyway
>>
>>66119265
t. someone who hasn't listened to any grunge besides Nirvana and Pearl Jam's biggest hits
>>
>>66119265
Grunge is a scene, not a sound. The Smashing Pumpkins don't sound like actual grunge bands, "grunge", or post-"grunge", anyway.
>>
>>66119371
The Pumpkins did kinda ride the grunge wave, though. Lots of songs off of Gish and Siamese Dream are pretty grungy-sounding.
