That sucks, but that doesn't change the fact that you're being completely ignorant to the fact that people deal with trauma differently. You would never tell a soldier with PTSD just to "get over it" (and before you give the cliche knee jerk reaction, no I'm not saying what she experienced was equivalent to her fighting in a war, but the brain doesn't know any better, it doesn't mean her response to it is any less legitimate).
Not to mention that your idea that she's just doing it for attention is completely off base. If anything apparently it was partially borne out of her wanting to appear less desirable and receive less attention from men. She's always largely stayed out of the public eye, there's literally no reason to believe she's just trying to nurse her ego by doing something like this.
