chester watson - past cloaks
I'm really interested in post-punk and shoegaze lately, but I must admit I'm not very well versed in the genres
I sometimes have a hard time finding things that I feel find the balance between capturing the raw emotion and "ooomf" I want, while also being like, nice to listen to and somewhat coherent
Started listening to Slowdive, The Cure, and Sonic Youth. I like them so far, but not as much as this stuff I don't think, although I still have more of their discographies to go through
I like some Yellow Swans, but it can be a bit too much for me often times. I like the Evpatoria Report, but they pale in comparison to GYBE
I like the Radio Dept and Grouper, but I'm looking for something heavier sounding
I don't really like generic metal sounding vocals, but I'm getting a bit bored of dreamy sounding vocals too
Would love recs
Looking for recs, also add me on RYM:

Vulnicura is Vespertine 2.0, if you like the percussion of the latter, you'll like that
>>66069564
I agree, love that album. Vulnicura would be on my chart I think, but I tried to keep it down to one album per artist as much as I could
