How does /mu/ feel about the music of Gong?

I just recently obtained the last album (You) in the Radio Gnome trilogy and I'm really loving it so far! Angel's Egg was nice, but this one is on a totally different level.

I think its crazy that he was in soft machine and when wyatt left soft machine, the parallel happened with allen leaving gong. Both bands went straight fusion and gave up most of their pop sound. Also check out electrique camembert, its great pre gong stuff.

Yeah! I love Soft Machine and I didn't even know about that until I started getting Gong's albums. And Electrique Camembert was the first album I picked up. Good stuff!
