This is the best post rock album
pro tip: you can't
i can't what?
i can't...?
great thread OP
>>66031873
Come on OP, there is no album that will ever reach this standards
Holy shit op went the extra autistic mile by not making sense in a already autistic
>"x"is the best I have no argument for it though thread
>>66031873
oh shit, i can't...
You guys seem to be forgetting something.
>>66031873
I can't
>>66031873
>>66033541
Literally the two most overrated post-rock albums.
>>66031873
F#A#oo is better
Literally one of the shittiest albums ever
Swans Are Dead
>>66031873
so sorry op, but I can...
Don't know if the best, but absolutely my favourite
>>66033590
the earth is not a cold dead place? Takk...? All is violent, all is bright?
>>66033659
It doesn't get better
>>66033676
That's present-rock ya tard.
>>66033687
GIAA sucks
>>66033590
Spiderland is literally the second greatest album ever made so you're clearly wrong.
>>66033703
Rock had been around since the early 60's when it came out.
>>66033754
>>66033659
>>66033681
these are the only 2 contenders this far, I would say skinny fists is better though
>>66033616
too much ambient, I would still rate it 9.9/10 but OP's is 10/10
>>66033831
>he uses RYM
>>66033831
what did he mean by this
Am I the only one who believes that slow riot is the best thing to be released in the genre?
>>66031873
this album is really boring if you have ADD
>>66036985
I actually have ADHD and it's my second favorite album. Stop diagnosing yourself.
It's boring if you aren't imaginative.
>>66037059
You aren't going to get anywhere by posting the same thing over and over. Nobody is going agree with you.
>>66036985
You really shouldn't be judging albums if you have ADD. I mean, no offense to those who have it, but yeah.
>>66035781
no
Oh i can, OP. I fucking can.
>>66037093
Oh shit I didn't even know it was that highly regarded. Cool
>>66031873
You're thread prompted me to finally listen to it.
It's really good
>>66037119
to clarify, it's the highest rated EP of all time, not overall release but yeah, even as a big fan o Godspeed I think it's far and away their best work
>>66037133
FUCK I meant your
>>66037023
sorry, that's post METAL
try again sir
>>66033659
This and Hex are the only good things to ever come out of the post-rock scene, and the best part is that they are both pre-2000 albums, which is when the thing supposedly got off the ground. Truly a shit genre.
>>66037153
The opening violins of "Moya" are probably the most moving segment of music I have heard in my life
>>66037545
have you heard GY!BE's post hiatus albums ("Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend!" and "Asunder, Sweet, and Other Distress")?
>>66037590
I haven't, however I don't think I ever heard many positive things about them. I don't think I'd like them if I tried, the album OP posted which tends to get praise all around is pretty mediocre, bordering on boring, to me.
>>66037661
>all around is pretty mediocre
>to me
it doesn't work that way
>>66037661
their post hiatus stuff sounds pretty different than that album, I'd give it a shot. much more direct songwriting style, and a lot more noisy and heavy if that's your thing. I like them a lot more than their older stuff.
>>66037793 (me)
"them" as in their post hiatus albums, just to clarify
>>66033659
Objectively correct answer desu
>>66037818
was it autism?
>>66037867
what?
>>66033616
Came here to post this.
>>66037768
>to me
I added that just to say that it's only my opinion, because clearly a lot of people disagree with it.
>>66033754
>he fell for the Spiderland meme
>>66031873
Yanqui U.X.O. > LYSFLATH
>>66033541
This.
Not the best but definitely a contender strictly for DJed. Surprised no one has mentioned this
>>66038259
>Yanqui U.X.O. > LYSFLATH
mein nigga
>>66037155
Embarrassing t b h
>>66031873
Agreed. It's their best. No debate at all.
>>66033893
Soundtracks is the best post-rock record of all time
