Mr. Kite is the best song
I always liked Lovely Rita.
>>66001077
for me it's sgt peppers lonely hearts club band because I'm a boring fuck
A Day In The Life is ackshually the best, OP.
what's the least popular track on this album?
good morning? fixing a hole?
>>66001309
When I'm 64 is the worst.
Martha My Dear is the most godawful song
>>66001313
>Least popular equals worst
Beatles fans.
>>66001369
Not even on Sgt. Pepper
>>66001369
kill yourself FUCKING KILL YOURSELF tasteless faggot
>>66001313
kill yourself
With A Little Help From My Friends is by far the best song on that album.
>>66001382
>>66001370
It's fucking awful and I don't see the appeal.
>>66001309
Probably Mr. Kite or Good Morning.
>>66001395
>hating on Good Morning
What the fuck that guitar part is wicked.
>>66001077
Mr. Kite is my favorite track as well, bravo.
>>66001395
>mr kite
least popular
fuck off you MORON
>>66001388
thats because you have terrible taste and need to honestly kill yourself
>>66001408
Why are you so rude bro
>>66001309
I always really liked Fixing a Hole and have know a few people who have as well.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone crazy about Good Morning and I always thought of it as the weakest track on the album.
I think it's the only track with a bunch of musical ideas I don't like. It just never settles everywhere and there's always something like the choppy horn section, George's put of place overdriven solo or Paul's bass which doesn't fit the bizarre arrangement. He picks weird times to double up on melodies in the vocals or horns and plays unsyncopated root-fifth lines that sound odd with the horns and vocals. It's unusual for Paul, normally he's really good with his voice leading on bass so I figure it's on purpose to compound the jaggedness of the song.
My Top 3 songs from Sgt.Pepper
1-A Day in the Life
2-She's Leaving Home
3-Within You Without You
>>66001540
I adore Fixing a Hole, it's my favourite along with She's Leaving Home. I love how the song fades out and we're left with that insanely catchy bridge section.
>>66001744
Paul's vocal is just superb on it. It's a really beautiful melody in the first place but Paul's diction and delivery make it one of his best performances on the album. That echo effect on the vox is just perfectly placed too. I figure it's probably one of Paul's most psychedelic songs too and rivals the psychedelic stuff John and George were doing around that period.
>>66001077
John pls go to bed
>>66001694
3-Getting Better*
>Taxman is the Wilson
What did they mean by this?
Literally every song is great wtf is wrong
>>66001308
>>66001383
These, although She's leaving home and Mr. Kite are pretty good as well. Everything else is kinda meh.
Side two of Abbey Road>any other side of any other Beatles album
>>66001369
lol wat
>>66002273
It's pretty cool how little they had to add in after taking stuff from the poster. They basically had the lyrics written for them.
>>66001540
Not to be that guy but Paul actually does the solo on that track
White Album is better
>>66002480
I'm actually pretty happy to hear that. George had some shredding solos but I feel like he'd normally be the sort of writer who'd recognise that wasn't what the song needed. Paul and John in my head are more the sort who'd get a bit more in over their heads trying to make a song out there. I'd say it was pretty terrifying for Ringo trying to play over such weird and volatile rhythmic phrasing.
>>66002619
>pretty terrifying for Ringo trying to play over such weird and volatile rhythmic phrasing.
>>66002619
This. SGT Pepper might be Ringo's best drum performance of any album. Like holy fuck that tom work in Day In The Life.
>>66001377
>>66001382
>>66002194
Nobody said the song had to be from Sgt Pepper
Objective ranking:
1. A Day in the Life
2. Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite
3. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
4. Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - Reprise
5. When I'm Sixty Four
6. She's Leaving Home
7. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
8. With a Little Help from my Friends
9. Getting Better
10. Good Morning
11. Fixing a Hole
<gap>
12. Lovely Rita
<power gap>
13. Within You Without You
Also I just realized how much better Revolver is.
Pet sounds is better.
>>66003012
Best edit of an album cover I've ever seen.
>>66003087
Nice meme. It's literally the correct album cover
>>66002950
Literally perfect.
Revolver is shit tho.
>>66001218
>>66001308
Toss up between these two imo
>>66002950
why man? Within you without you is such a trippy song, few songs of them are so special
by the way A day in the life is the best song ever written and Lucy in the sky with diamonds is a little bit over-rated
>>66001309
>>66001395
McCartney has been playing Mr. Kite! in his live performances, so that song is no longer unpopular.
For the most unpopular song on Sgt. Pepper's I'd go for Fixing A Hole or Within You Without You
>>66001313
>>66003159
wwwwhat? Some songs from that album are masterpieces
>>66003318
>A day in the life is the best song ever written
I don't agree with you but this is a very reasonable opinion to have.
>>66003127
Except mike love is shopped out ya dumby
>>66002950

>>66001077
fixing a hole
>>66003374
thank you, I understand your disagreement, also because I'm very chained to that song (and to the beatles in general - in a positive way)
Daily reminder White Album is the best thing they ever did
>>66003159
yeah just remembered doctor robert is on revolver. i retract my statement.
>>66003318
>A day in the life is the best song ever written and Lucy in the sky with diamonds is a little bit over-rated
well said
>>66003415
>13. Mr Kite
youre missing out m8
>>66003659
It's the best song The Beatles ever did for sure and I rate it pretty damn highly too. One of those rare songs that takes my breath away every time I hear it.
>>66003546
>>66003684
I always see people posting this but never defending the statement. Some of the best songs they ever wrote are on TWA and maybe if it was a single album it could be a contender for best but how do ye account for all the crap joke songs?
>>66003783
> "crap joke songs"
i bet you hate rocky racoon and ob-la-di, you fucking asshole
White girl core
>>66001408
>>66001382
>>66003783
>crap joke songs
oh boy this argument again. Every song on the album must be listened too in order, it's the only way the album can work it's magic. And yes, that means sitting thru and developing an appreciation for Wild Honey Pie and Do It In The Road
>>66003415
>A Day in The Life third
okay
>>66002644
don't forget his work on good morning, but his best drum work is in Yoko Ono/Plastic Ono Band
>>66004843

>>66001077
>Mr. Kike
>>66006672
So?
>>66001309
Definitely Within or Without You. George's hard-on for sitars made the least memorable track of Sgt. Pepper.
>>66007535
lol

Comedic gold.
