This album is so fucking good.
GOAT slowcore
>>65955506
Glad you like it desu.
Final track is the best one though. Get hyped
Found this one accidentally yesterday when I typed a search wrong, went ahead and listened to it anyway.
Actually kinda interesting.
>>65955607
Not the OP, just a fan of the album though. It doesn't get the praise it deserves tbqh. Last track is one of the GOAT 80's tracks.
>>65955647
agreed. it's a shame the album has been forgotten by /mu/

>>65955203
>>65955323
just finished this. pretty good overall, 7/10.
nice and dreamy shoegaze, comfy as hell.
The best tracks on this are the first two and the final one, all of which have these grooving guitars over soft spoken and beautiful vocals.
Would recommend to people who enjoy dream pop / shoegaze.
>>65955669
On track 3, this is very artsy.
sound design is fantastic
>>65955160
How is this not at least as popular as Jesus and the Mary Chain?
that was great, some great fookin chunes on it
esp. like Halloween, When You Smile and the title track
8/10
Electric Masada - At the Mountains of Madness
the full thing is up on youtube
>>65956131
>>65956127
it's quite long and the first half is definitely better than the second but this is the album that proves John Zorn isn't just some sporkwaver, give it a try
>>65956042
sadly not my kind of music at all
Brainfeeder is nice
breathe something stellar star and beginners falafel are kind of captivating but not exactly enjoyable to me, thats as far as ive gone, so far its a 6/10
>>65955541
Goddamn feels in this
>>65956207
Shit, you weren't kidding about the length. Nonetheless, I'll give it a listen.
>>65956181

hmmm probably 5/10 kinda derivative
>>65958906
thank you this is pretty good
>>65955823
>>65955353
Liked this, im a fan of slowcore and posthardcore and this blended nicely 7/10
>>65961640
Starting now
>>65961228
Not normally my thing but I dig the grooves of Slut.
>>65962366
IDK why the cover made me think I was in for some screamy metal shit, this is actually bretty good so far.
>>65962432
yeah it's pretty nice
>>65956734
Finally got around to this. A bit of an angst-fest in a Brand New kind of way, but I enjoyed the guitar melodies a lot. The acoustic bit at III is very nice.
>>65962164
Off-topic but hell yea I love this album
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8jArZMILME
>>65963122
neat, my kinda music
>>65958918
So far I've enjoyed the first track but the second is painfully boring and repetitive
>>65955135
I'm digging most of what heard here great thread so far
if you want the flac for the album I can upload it to mega for you
I really really wanted to post Stereolab's "Cobra and Phases" but I don't feel like it's the greatest Stereolab album to start with
try this
enjoy
>>65963769
don't let me down
>>65963824
Happy to see this around
It's incredibly fun

>>65956101
>>65956394
good picks
>>65955135
>>65964023
not a fan of the vocals so far but i like the overall sound
Fetch by melt banana
>>65963994
generic early 2000s radio rock
ech/10
you can find it on spotify pretty sure
>>65964023
im actually enjoying this a lot. thx man
>>65964090
What am I listening to... these lyrics man
>>65964139
I don't really like this honestly
>>65964132
They'll grow on you. This album was a 5/10 for me the first time I heard it. Now it's closer to 8/10
>>65964244
Np man
>>65963801
I hope I haven't.
>>65964146
did you seriously make that judgment after listening to it for five minutes? they're nothing like radio rock at all, they're some combination of math rock, emo, and post hardcore
whatever, you're entitled to your opinion
>>65964139
I'm actually starting to dig this. Not something I'd listen to by choice but lots of cool bits. The frenzy and vocals bring to mind Dan Deacon making hardcore noise rock.
>>65964237
I can appreciate the instrumentation, but the vocals feel sorta misplaced.
Pretty good tho, going to keep listening
Sabaton ; The Art of War
>>65964291
Not the guy who posted the album but I think the lyrics are great
>>65963769
>>65964393
>>65963704
>>65963801
me
Thanks for the post bro
I'm half way through the album and i dig it so far. The group has this really eclectic style yet manages to make their sound cohesive.
I'm not very into the vocals but I'm usually picky when it comes to vocals.
I hate making comparisons like this but the music (to me) seems like a cross between Fallout Boy and Grizzly Bear?
tell me if i'm wrong
>>65964657
seems pretty good so far tbqh senpai
You're fucking welcome.
>>65964566
i like it
>>65964749
i've been meaning to listen to this, it's been sitting in my library for a while
can't listen right now though, but it will be the next record i listen to
My 10/10
>>65964784
You won't regret it.
Cornelius - Fantasma
This was just recommended to me and I'm really digging this!
Here's a YT link to the whole album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESZSKERJmwg
>>65964139
I just finished and it was... interesting. I'm not usually one to go for this type of music, so thanks for expanding my horizons I guess.
https://girlfriendtapes.bandcamp.com/album/sweetheart
I didn't make this, so don't get your panties in a bunch thinking I'm self promoting.
Probably my favorite BC album, though.
>>65964812
>Cornelius
Good shit bro love his music
i'm not the next listener but the intro to that album's killer
>>65964869
Alright, listening right now.
>>65964901
Yeah it kicks ass! He's playing a show near me too for that album and I may check it out.
>>65964931
He tours in America?
not to be creepy but where do you live?
>>65964960
Arizona. It's a rare US tour he's doing for Fantasma. Here's the P4K article on it:

Well fuck me I live in mass
Thanks for the head up though bro
You're welcome
>>65965078
Here's hoping he extends his dates! I just got into his music yesterday so I caught him at a good time.
la espada y la pared- los tres
>>65965090
20+ songs and only one isn't any good. Great goddamn album.
Nash the Slash - Children of the Night
>>65965131
>1200x1200
it sounds great af omfg
>>65965325
Yeah, I remember /mu/ used to talk about the album more when I was browsing in 2011, but discussion seems to have dried up a lot. I only just got around to listening to it a month ago and I can't believe I waited so long.
Open Mike Eagle - Hella Personal Film Festival
>>65964869
I liked this! My big issue with it is it's a little too rough on the production. I get it's lo-fi, but it actually overdoes it at some points. Other than that it's pretty good!
>>65965498
>Personal Film Festival
YES
>>65965625
I just got around to listening to it today and it blew me away, easily a cut above his other stuff IMO
Rising Sun - Teruo Nakamura
>>65965678
the production is much better than his other work for sure. i need to dig deeper into Paul White's music.
>>65955472
I like it!
>>65965570
I talked to the kid who made it on a BC thread once. He recorded it to a tape and then cloned that tape like 15 times or something.
It does get a little consuming at times.
Glad you liked it.
:)
>>65963824
I've always loved songs for the Deaf but this one doesn't do much for me.
Before you assume I'm trolling, I'm not.
This album perfectly captures the culture of the world in the months leading up to the financial crash and the resulting recession of 2008.
The songs were picked with great care taken to make sure the music flowed into each other seamlessly and reaches a high point by track 9 of disc 1.
You might say this is just normie shit or some meme like that but it's not, this is music that got people through the day 8 years ago.
So sit back, put your headphones on, and try and picture yourself living life before everything started turning to shit.
>>65966033
Rihanna really hasn't ever been good.
England Keep My Bones - Frank Turner
Top album
>>65965820
What the hell
Hope you like emo
Bones - Skinny
>>65964749
Thank you anon. Thank you.
>>65966830
>>65961271
Glad you liked my dude. Check out their album Uzu ni Naru.
Better in some ways, but overall somehow not quite as good.
It kinda depends on your mood, too. Long Goodbye is very energetic even with FROWER GURR whereas Uzu ni Naru is apathetic almost, melancholy. Again, both great works.
>>65965131
I was concerned when I heard the second track since I didn't really care for the female vocalists, but album turned out to be pretty good overall.
>>65966830
Starting now anon, this is pretty nice so far.
Blind Guardian- Nightfall in Middle-Earth
>>65967062

My dude
>>65967418
Wow. That was really...different.
First one went okay so lets roll them bones again.
>>65967590
Can't put my finger on the influence but it sounds very familiar
>>65967560
Holy shit this is comfy as fuck, thanks
>>65967637
No problem, man I picked it up in a sharethread a few months back.
>>65966178
I'm not the listener, but I love this album <3
Hope you like it famalam

>>65955541
track 4, holy shit.
I envy you if you haven't heard it. I wish i could hear it for the first time again.
The Empyrean | John Frusciante
essential nighttime album, if you only listen to one song make it city of smoke and flame
>>65970535
I think I'll take you up on that. 30 seconds in to the first and I don't think this is really my thing.
Had a girl on tinder recommend me this album a year or two ago
Just saying it has it's slow points
hope listener digs it as much as i did at first
>>65970627
Oh and if you need a link for the download i can upload it somewhere if you'd like
>>65970535
It's not the worst thing I've ever heard. Like I said, not really something I'm into but it wasn't too bad, had some cool sounding parts.
>>65970025
Haven't, but I'm about to go to bed, so I'll check it out in the morning.
>>65970627
Only a little bit through but i'm into this so far
>>65967677
I dig it anon. thanks for the rec. Gonna roll one last time.
