MBV is on par with Isn't Anything (maybe a little less) and certainly better than their punk and jangle pop phases. Just because it isn't Loveless doesn't mean it isn't a good* comeback album.

All of this was probably recorded in 2001 or earlier.
I know they've released a number of albums after this but this was released after a 9 year hiatus and is one of the best things earth has done.
