It's even on Youtube. That being said, it's extremely intense and "sickening" on the first listen; on subsequent listens, it can become strongly cathartic and addictive. "A Hanging" and "Another You" are possibly the two most intense tracks on the album. Be 'listening-ready' for the latter.

I think it just takes time exploring. Swans' catalog is so vast and varied that there will be things you absolutely love and things that just don't seem good at all. This flowchart is pretty accurate tho imo.

Trust me, you haven't. They're the extreme brutal end of the live transformations of those songs. In some cases, they use completely different instrumentation. "A Hanging" on Public Castration is radically longer and 100x more aggressive/blood-pumping than the studio version. "Another You" on Public Castration is *deafening* and terrifying the first time you give it a listen.

From Reich, Glass, Cale, Young and Zorn to TVU and Zappa to no wave and post-punk.

They manages to make the best rock trilogy, so far in the 2000's. That never truly happens. Especially in an age filled with bands that don't do jack shit and innovate the genre at all or make forward moving rock music like SWANS. You can find other bands/artists out there that have done albums on this level, but not in rock.
Like I will debate people that this trilogy is better then David Bowie's Berlin Trilogy.

That's not really a bold claim. I still like Lodger, but it really lowers that trilogy.
I think the most amazing thing about the Swans trilogy is that they made it post-reunion. Most bands struggle with just making something that pleases the fans on return.
