I actually don't know a ton of japanese hardcore, just the essentials but it's definitely one of my favorite styles. (Hellnation have a great EP full of jap hardcore covers and I got into all those bands)
You should absolutely check out v-sect. I only heard of them when I saw them on the line-up for an upcoming show with infest and dropdead, and they just have some demo's that they've put out. Pretty sick blackened crust stuff.

I like it when she takes more influence from either her acoustic or metal influences. I think that her albums that try to find a balance tend to do both a disservice. unknown rooms is really front loaded but I think it has better themes and better synergy between the vocals and instrumentals than abyss, although the two are by far my favorite of her albums.

Concerning Sepultura I'd have to say I can't really decide between those two. What else I noticed tho is them being a great liveband, despite missing essential members.
