Listen to the fire walk with me soundtrack. It continues in the direction of this but has more instrumentation, is more moody, jazzy, and diverse (theres an atmospheric song on it that slightly recalls early Swans, for example)
Literally picked this up earlier today for a buck. You might like it OP. It's definitely eerie jazz, makes me think of a detective movie.

It's essential viewing for any Twin Peaks fan. The film is the more authentic presentation of Lynch's idea of Twin Peaks than the tv series.
It's exhausting though. Really bleak.

Yes, its one of the best movies ive seen. Its extremely underrated as twin peaks was hated at the time due to s2 and people expecting it to be more of the same. It is also extremely disturbing
I would recommend watching it a month or so after finishing s2 in order to be able to adjust to the significant tonal change
