I agree with Bright Eyes there, It's a rare 10/10 for me although I feel people disregard it as Hipster Folk and don't actually look at the quality.

I loved RHCP as a teen. Now I feel that while their mainstream success is overblown, they are over snubbed by music elitists. They're just average at best. John is still fantastic on his own though, I think that outside hardcore RHCP circles that he is often ignored.

I also felt that sol was a great track. I feel that RHCP was a path forward for him when you consider how young he was when he joined, but people who think it is fashionable to shit on them try to throw his solo work in with it.
People need to take a fucking step back and appreciate his contribution.
