Is this the angriest album of all time?
It's pretty dull and claustrophobic, but because it's made by Tool the fans have to like it.
First three tracks are alright, and I really enjoy Disgustipated, but the rest is middling to entirely forgettable.

I genuinely enjoy Undertow, including that stretch, though it definitely wallows in it's own resentment a bit (and Swamp Song is meandering filler).

agree about swamp song, the only weak track but the rest is fucking god tier angry shit. can't think of another album that makes me want to wreck shit like this does, not even vulgar display of power. it's definitely the vocals, because maynard sounds like a psycho, probably he is one

I actually like it a lot. The rollins part of bottom is kinda cringey now that I'm older but I enjoy Crawl Away, 4 Degrees etc.
