i think you and most people here need to realise that rdj has never considered himself an artist, especially with something to prove. he's quite literally only ever made music for himself, and it happened to get a cult following, released on respected labels, and disseminated into musical discourse because it was great

No one hates him, it's just that this track (and the other track previews) seems underwhelming. If anything it's mostly fans who I've seen disappointed as they're more familiar with his back catalogue and this is too reminiscent of that.
