ITT: Artists who released one god-tier 10/10 album and then everything after is a 7/10 or less.

bait

>implying Illmatic is a 10
No hip hop album has ever made it above 6. It's a singles oriented genre, and a lazy one
>>65814781
either maximum b8 or extremely ignorant
>>65814463
I think you mean "released one 8/10 and then consistent 4/10s from there on"
you cheated anyway
hiphop is redundant
all rappers fail to live up to their own hype
>>65814463
IWW was a 7-8
>Not a 10, but still much better than all their other stuff
>>65815035
objectively incorrect
>>65815202
Agreed, Green Day is shit after Nimrod
>>65815277
oai is great and so is ferris wheel on fire ep
>>65815326
That's not fair, they only released one album
>>65815326
if you're saying MF DOOM, MM... Food is definitely an 8/10.
>>65815403
I was talking about DOOM though.
>>65815483
Yes! I'd even say a 9. He released some great stuff back in 2003 (Take me to your Leader is an 8, and VV 1 is a solid 9). He then released Madvillainy (10) and Mm... Food (9).
Though I'll admit later works are not AS good. DangerDoom is a 6-7, and the other stuff haven't checked out yet. Hopefully DOOMSTARKS turns out to be another amazing record.

if Doomstarks is even close to as good as Mm... Food (not even gonna hope for madvillainy levels) then I will be elated. I've also been pretty disappointed in everything post -those two albums. Just not memorable, though he's had some very good features (Between Villains, Ray Gun, I even enjoyed his little snippet on Frankie Sinatra). I need DOOM to make a comeback, I need it
