Pet Sounds is nearly my favourite album and I'm Waiting for the day has one of the few musical ideas I don't like on the album. The line "I'm waiting for the day" irks me every time I hear it. Rest of the song is pretty fantastic but Goddamn, some combination of the melodic movement and the diction of that little bit just hits my ears wrong.

I have a question pet sounds fan boys. It's a great album, really am incredible disc but it has a serious flaw for me that just drives me insane. Why does every song end in a fade out?? It just seems so lazy and I hate not heard the resolution at the end.
