Take Spiderland for example, 99 on Metacritic, but if you take the average of the ratings on the wikipedia page, you get 89.
It doesn't account for a lot of reviews, which is stupid.

numbers don't. reading about what someone else experiences when they hear a piece of music does. you won't experience the same music as someone else does even tho they hear the same thing. trying to reconcile you're own experience listening to an album with what others experience while listening to that album will give you the best insight to what the album truly is
