Their last great album. People bash it because "no john" but Navarro fit in the band really well and probably had more in common with Hillel Slovak's playing than Frusciante did.

Plus the softer songs like Tearjerker and Transcending were great too.

It actually is, I have no idea why people bash it. Maybe I just don't "get" RHCP.

It's considered the one "Black Sheep" album that every artist has...but even then, it's solid.

Actually there is a problem, some of the songs are just too long. Otherwise it's solid yeah, just a bit of a curveball. They did that Butthole Surfers namedrop for a reason.

This album and Davey almost destroyed the band.

Dave's guitar tone was too thick and metallic; it didn't fit them at all.
