was just about to post this
it's so fucking underrated

Henry is pretty rad. I don't think I've really loved any of his albums after he disbanded Make a Move though. I still like most everything he puts out though, and Old Locks is no exception.
Also, I think all my 5 stars except one are at least a full star above the average rating.

and danse manatee, most of /mu/ doesn't even like it

I can kind of agree on Danse, it oscillates between being too amateurish and probably one of the best things they've ever done, and the track ordering makes it even worse
I wish they did a whole album more focused on stuff like Meet the Light Child and Lablakely Dress instead of what came out of it. Essplode should've been the poppy exception to that.

It just satisfies something in me. Like all the tinkering in Meet the Light Child, the sporadic bits of harsh noise, the poppier ones like Another White Singer, and then how melancholy Throwin The Round Ball and such is. I've been looking for a similar album for a while but nothing seems to satisfy that itch.

I'm assuming you've been recommended Black Dice's first two albums? They and Gang Gang Dance's album God's Money are kind of the closest around. Not too similar though imo.

Yup, I like them, particularly pic related. Still searching though.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's genuinely nothing else truly like Danse put there.
Maybe if Geo ever puts out some solo work, but I get the feeling he's far past that point in his musical life as well.
