A lot of "poseur-core." I know I shouldn't let it get to me, but it's so hard to actually discuss it anymore because of montie and all the memelords flooding everything with shit that I hate to ever mention that I like these bands. It also didn't help that I just so happened to discover a few of them (most damningly, the Shadow Ring) around the same time the poseur-core meme started to blow up.

Pretty sure OP's more embarassed about the fact that Florence is "normiecore" than he is about the fact that she's female. In my opinion, female vocals are actually superior to male vocals. There's a soothing and pleasant quality that's unique to them.
As far as I'm concerned, only dudebros and plebs think it's "gay" for men to listen to female artists. That in itself is a notion that barely makes sense to me.

I do think Florence's major flow is she'll come very very close to writing an excellent melody the fuck it up with something monotonous right when it could have gotten really good.
The chorus on "Ship to Wreck" is an excellent example. The "did I drink too much/am I losing touch/did I build a ship to wreck" part sets up a good melody that never comes.
