How would you describe the emotional content of this album?
For those who like it, is it more for admiration of it on a technical level, or for its legacy, or for its emotional impact?
its devoid of emotion, only chaos
if theres any feeling its just nostalgia, but its mostly inane ramblings of someone who took way too much LSD and thought he was the second coming
'emotional' music is very low-brow. Really you should be ashamed for using that as a criterion in your music listening.
I only like it because of the memes

so you are saying music makes you feel no emotion? or, you don't judge an album based on how it makes you feel? I find that hard to believe, anon
it's absolutely fucking hilarious
also dachau blues is terrifying and sad, while moonlight on vermont makes me want to put on cowboy pants and walk down the road weirdly

I just understood that it exists, influenced a lot of great artists and moved on.

started this thread as someone who loves the music for qualities that are vague but closer to "emotional content" than technicality, and was hoping to put words to it
Maybe this is the same enjoyment you refer to- So, how do you bridge the gap between technicalities and approval or enjoyment or whatever you get out of music?

It runs the gamut. It's usually silly and happy, but can be maddeningly powerful or surprisingly mournful.
I feel free.

There's a lot of raw passion in the music. There's also a great deal of humor and sarcasm.
