Forgot the kinks
>>65672578
So pre 80's is classic rock now?
>>65673490
mid 80s and earlier
>>65673532
I don't know. Something doesn't sound right about calling van halen classic rock
>>65672578
>pink floyd
>king crimson
>hendrix
>classic rock
fuck off
>>65672578
there's just no way you can ever have black sabbath and neil young in the same list
>>65673490
>>65673549
Nirvana and Metallica are on classic rock radio now.
>>65673552
but they are.
>>65673574
You can when you catogorize things by genre. Because they both fall under the umbrella term of classic rock, you elitist idiot.
>>65673609
The fact remains that it is completely different music
>>65673577
There's no way nirvana's at classic yet. They put it on the radio because it's pretty decent music anyways even if it doesn't fit the profile
>>65673639
But when you catagorize them under an umbrella label for genre, they are inherently the same.
All music is music.
>>65673683
It's like 25 years old. It's fucking dadrock.
>>65673683
everything that's 20+ years is "classic"
>>65673552
I agree that King Crimson shouldn't be here and if I were going to categorize the Floyd I'd throw them into art rock/space rock/psychedelic rock and pop for their early years, but Hendrix is definitely classic rock.
>>65673683
think about it dude
if somebody was 10 years old when nevermind dropped they'd be 35 now and could feasibly have three kids, a mortgage, a wife and a pet chihuahua to boot. if somebody was, let's say, 18 years old when nevermind dropped? they'd be 43 fucking years old now. I agree it's weird and uncomfortable to throw Nirvana into "dadrock" but really, they are.
>>65673552
you're the person who calls the rest of the stuff dadrock
On second thought, The Allman Brothers should definitely be in the list. Take out The Doors. I will leave it at 19 because the 20th is too hard to pick between Lynyrd Skynyrd, Deep Purple, The Doors, ZZ Top, Yes, CCR, Cream etc.
