http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Manuscripts
there are also a billion and one manuscript databases out there (DIAMM).
>>
>>65670733
I'm mostly interested in Medieval manuscripts. Is there a way to filter the results?
>>
>>65670846
Use DIAMM (Digital Image Archive of Medieval Music). You can just browse or search for specific works/composers/manuscripts/cities etc. Cross-category searching is also possible on IMSLP too, yes, but they do not necessarily specialize in early music manuscripts.

Morales is without peer in the genre of imitation masses. The sophistication of his musical borrowing far exceeds that of any of his colleagues and predecessors. Personally I don't think his Aspice Domine, Quem Dicunt Homines and Si Bona Suscepimus masses will ever be topped. He also wrote the classic magnificat settings of the western canon, that has never been out of the repertory since it was printed in the 1540s. He was also extremely adept at writing motets in the fluid Flemish idiom current of his day:

In short, he was one of the finest composers of his day, if not one of the greatest writer for voice of all time. Certainly the Light of Spain in Music.

>over 10 minutes of mashing porridge
>a chain of equidistant dadada-ing
>harmonically barren even for a Bach piece
>seldom mentioned even by academics since there's literally nothing to talk about
>wouldn't even be known by a single person if it wasn't a Bach piece
>Nothing: The Composition

Truly an artifact from the brink of Elysium. If it were any greater our senses wouldn't even perceive it.

you can't be an important experimental artist unless you know what has already been done. ie. are a trained composer.
