absolutely great album. XTC were one of the best new wave groups imo.
I've been listening to it a lot lately but can't tell if I hate it or love it. It can be pretty cheesy but all around p fun. That's really super, Supergirl is a highlight for me

cool thing is the cheesiness is intentional. they purposefully wanted to evoke a lot of the innocence and corniness of british pop groups like the beatles, kinks, zombies, etc
one of my fav records, love it's unapologetic goofiness.
best: earn enough for us / grass
worst: ??? don't fucc'n know, maybe another satelite
overrated: dear god, still a jam
underrated: season cycle
I'd put English Settlement as their second best, possibly tied as their best. Very different album, less accessible but has some great tunes.
