I've tried to get into Soundgarden, but honestly it feels like all the best parts of Audioslave (namely, the lyrics [primarily on the first album] and Morello's guitar work [primarily on the other two]) were absent in about 95% of Soundgarden's songs. The few I like I really do love, but they just get drowned out in a sea of...mediocrity.
It's a shame because I they're all very talented people. Morello did the same thing - all his solo stuff is absolute dogshit.
