Crystal Castles were an important band to the current state of the indie music mainstream, I think it was sensible of them to end it when they did, otherwise they would just be another irrelevant buzzband of the early 2010s, see Best Coast, Sleigh Bells, The Drums.
Both Alice and Ethan are kidding themselves though thinking they still have careers in music, especially Ethan sticking with the Crystal Castles name (yes I know he used that name before Alice was even in the group)
