I used to think it was trash, but revisiting it recently I've enjoyed it much more. Not so blissed out that it becomes boring, but a great blend of mellow and subtle intensity.
I actually think it could've bennefitted from being a bit longer, the big dramatic "and all that you..." ending feels unjustified imo. We have an album with nice motific development of the "breathe" chord progression, but no climactic use of it, I was waiting for the climax of that theme, and it never came.
despite this it's a great listen

It's great, but Animals is my favorite Floyd album.
I have a copy of the original 1973 master on vinyl, unsure whether to keep it or sell it
