Ornette Coleman listen to The Shape of Jazz to Come and Science Fiction. Science Fiction is my personal favorite of his discography but it's hard to just jump into it. In terms of more traditional jazz, the Clifford Brown and Max Roach album is great, as well as both having many fine albums in their own names. There is an album that features Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, and Keith Jarret that is really really nice. Know What I Mean? by Cannonball Adderley is good too. Final recommendation is Live at the Lighthouse by Lee Morgan. All great albums that should get you started into getting into some less known artists
Sonny Sharrock. That's all you need.
