What are some good Irish/Scottish/Celtic folk albums? I like bluegrass and I know it borrows strongly from the fiddle traditions of that region, but I haven't listened to much.
Perkelt is pretty cool cause they have those Celtic melodies and the speed of bluegrass to go with it. I keep procrastinating on buying their CDs.

Something I often listen to is an album called The Brass Fiddle, which is a compilation of Donegal fiddle recorded in the late 20th century. Very technically accomplished
