>>65471622
Then I guess you're a newfag.
>>65471598

>>65471612
don't cut yourself on that edge boi
all chart oriented pop acts
>>65471648
How is the chart edgy?
bloc party best fits this criteria
>>65471569
beyonce
>>65471659
it's pretty much contrarian "look-at-me" core. Pseudo try hard
>>65471702
What's your AOTY, kid?
>>65471659
well, it's certainly has edges as a rectangle, but it was more of a reference to your comment
there's some mayor trash there tho
>>65471710
right here....um, friendo ;^)
>>65471612
You only put Bowie up there for (you)'s, admit it. That's actually not that bad of a list.
>>65471710
whats yours
>>65471749
It's a list of mediocre, overhyped albums.
>>65471702
not exactly. most of those albums do suck and shouldn't be anywhere near being considered the best album of the year
>>65471762
Super dope list of contentless adjectives you've put together there anon
>>65471569
every genre has it's artists and songs that might be enjoyable to some, but unfulfilling and unsatisfying to most. In short, the musical equivalent to Mcdonald's can be found everywhere you look.
>>65471612
BP is literally the only album on there that can compete for AOTY
>>65471758
there are a few but topsters is being annoying
>>65471816
>Mediocre
Offering nothing of significance, simply by the numbers.
>Overhyped
Obvious what this means.
What's the musical equivalent of a Filet O Fish?
>>65471586
come on now, radiohead would at least be panera
>>65471569
Katy Perry
>>65471836
>it's an anon thinks he's part of the majority episode
>>65471884
Steam Powered Giraffes
The Beatles
>>65471582
Agreed
>>65471877
feel free to successfully argue the merit of either of those adjectives with regards to quality anytime
>>65471586
radiohead is in n out
What is the musical equivalent of Five Guys?
>>65471612
>>65471586
my first thought as well
>>65471960
mediocre is a great description for quality
McDonald's still does great business but they are becoming really unpopular with young adults. Even those who don't care about healthy eating avoid Mickey's because its low quality food. The "cool" fast food places are like Five Guys and Chipotle. So even comparing it to top 40 wouldn't be accurate.
I'd say dadrock, buttrock and pop country.
>>65471984
Looks shitty but is actually top tier? A lot of contemporary jazz fits that category by most peoples' opinions of album art.
>>65472041
why does everyone on /mu/ need to be so contrarian
>>65471612
>Sleep Cycle
>Heavily marketed
>appreciated by children
>(You)
>>65471586
Came here to say this.
>>65472041
Those are fast-casual, though. It's a different category.
>>65472060
>but is actually top tier
Finally someone gets it
>>65472060
>5-guys
>top tier
your taste in fast food is the only thing worse than your taste in music
>>65472015
offered in vacuum its useless
>>65472073
How the fuck is that a wrong statement
Do you really think Sleep Cycle is some super deep, complex music?
>>65472115
>trashes on an album i guarantee he's never heard
sick burn man
>>65472134
>Do you really think Sleep Cycle is some super deep, complex music?
no one said that retard, do you think sleep cycle is heavily marketed and appreciated by children
>>65471856
I tried listening to that about a month ago. It felt like the song was just trying to test my patience, just more contemporary, "you won't get this" bullshit. 4th dimensional Mickie D's
>>65472124
doubtful. most people would be able to interpret what someone means when they say mediocre. 75% of those albums fit that description.
>>65471856
only thing worse than those garbage albums is people with this shit. the people who tout work like this are wasting everyones time
>>65471569
All the generic rap that's so popular now
>>65472073
No, but it is possibly the least-advertised album I've listened to this year.
I don't think very many actual children are not only into AnCo, but big enough fans that they've listened to AnCo's least known member's EP that was exclusively released on cassette to backers of a 2009 kickstarter.
>>65472323
fuck meant to reply to
>>65472134
coldplay
>>65472323
>>65472343
Aside from being on fucking pitchfork and other publications noticeably
>>65472172
>It felt like the song
>the song
It's an album you fucking retard
>>65472255
What's your AOTY?
>>65472225
most people can certainly grasp the general meaning of a term but without surrounding them with anything else it offers nothing of any value
how do you reach the decision that 75% (arbitrary) of those albums are mediocre and overrated
>>65471971
Beach Boys = In N Out
the strokes are cheesecake factory
21 Pilots
>>65471612
>people still falling for the "obscure = better" meme
You probably fell for it as well, lol.
>>65471612
VIEWS already a classic.
>>65472945
There are plenty of popular albums that aren't on there, kid.
The Eagles
>>65471598
>people actually think this
>>65471612
