Remember, "whether you think you can, or think you can't... you're right." :-)

You can probably make some sort of experimental style with it.

Have u listened to Dean blunt? Because he made it work. Also, if you want to song well, you have to practice like with any other instrument.

Dude, doesn't matter. Just be Michael Gira. Everyone loves Michael Gira. I wish i had a deep voice.
>>
Don't worry, Stephin Merritt has built an entire career off it

I have a mid-high voice and I can't hit lows, and I can't hit highs. I haven't found what sounds good. Any suggestions on how to improve?

Keep practicing singing outside your comfort level. Practice singing in your preferred range too, obviously, but after like a year of practicing my range has expanded dramatically.

>tfw sing better when throwing a thick British accent in for laughs

Always wondered if I could ever get away with it as a normal singing voice.
>>

His voice has barely deteriorated at all over the years, too. There's a video of him singing "You Gave Your Love To Me Softly" from 2014 where he sounds so spot-on to the original recording that I thought he was lip-synching at first. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_V-Srr53T1A

Can you falsetto at all?
>>
how do I find my singing voice? my normal speaking pitch is very inconsistent, like that of a teenager

I can get pretty high, I can also do some bass notes. Just kidding I have no idea, I can sing low and high but in the midrange it sounds like shit

Should I upload a vocaroo showing how high I can go?
>>
>>65449986
Im with you dude, sometimes my voice is low and sometimes high.
>>
>>65448684
Check out Closing Time or Heart Of Saturday Night by Tom Waits. Might give you some low voice inspiration.

Swans too if you like heavier music.
>>
>>65448684
Your tone will change with correct practice, you might surprise yourself. I used to sound like kermit the frog when I sang, but now I actually get compliments such as "beautiful voice". I wouldn't go as far as that myself but I definitely like my voice a lot better nowadays.

And correct practice is really just a case of doing good vocal exercises daily.
>>
>tfw can't sing at all
I can do an out of key quiet low generic man singing and ultra high falsetto, but that's it, I can't hit a fucking note. Like I can't even sing along to music I love.
Is there some sort of way to get better?
>>
>>65448684
There's a context for nearly every voice, you just have to find it.

This

I took a vocal harmony/ear training course in this past year of college and my voice improved. I didn't really notice anything, but when we had to sing a piece for our final exam, my prof said that "my voice is really nice, but it seems that [I'm] not confident enough to really let it shine"
>>
People who can't sing for shit have usually have very unique voices. Or are tone deaf. If you're tone deaf, just give up.
