Yo, people, why don't we talk about underrated 2016 albums? Let the Bowie and Radiohead albums out of this thread, we all know 'em.
I've been busy and I haven't been aware of other releases.
Pic definitely related.
Also, I, for one, have found the following albums excellent:
Pinegrove - Cardinal (midwest emo with motherfucking banjos)
And Also the Trees - Born Into the Waves (psych neofolk? sounds like early Kiss the Anus of a Black Cat)
Sivert Hoyem - Lioness (fucking top A album, a baroque pop album full of beautiful arrangements)
The Gerogerigegege - Moenai Hai (thanks for coming back, Juntaro).
Also, pic definitely related.
Post yours!
Shilling but I think you'll really enjoy it if you're a fan of noise or folk

If EP's were to be included then I would have posted Lyklas Ocre's debut release

not an album
EPs by their nature aren't very buzzed about unless they're incredibly stellar
Just a couple I haven't seen too much discussion on
Atlanter – Jewels of Crime
Cloud Becomes Your Hand – Rest in Fleas
Lush – Blind Spot EP
Rick Alvin –Lady Portrait
Sun Angels –Honor & Fidelity EP
no clue how this has basically been entirely ignored. amazing proggy/mathy indie

Quilt - Plaza
Basically sounds like 60's psychedelic folk rock but slightly more "chamberish"
It's nice
Field Music - Commontime
very proggish art pop.
Almost reminds me a little of Genesis once Phil came in and took over, but good.
It's my AOTYSF

I love James Blake, illy always have hope for the guy because he's put out amazing material in the past but this falls way below the standards he's built for himself

Thought this was some bland indie rock album when I first saw it. Listening right now. Not bad.
