tbf i am a bernie supporter and i disagree pretty hard with his actual economic ideas. i dont think the min wage should be raised, dont think we should try to make college free, not sure about single payer healthcare, so on. I'm not a socialist by any means.

I voted for him because i think a lot of people including myself feel disenfranchised with how much control corporations have over washington. look at all the donations hillary is getting from pharmaceutical companies! the only thing I really, really 100% agree with sanders on is campaign finance reform.

I think if that one issue - campaign finance reform - were to be fully implemented and protected, then it would lead to people become much less apathetic about voting and politics, which would be a very good thing for america for many many years.

you know i actually agree about the campagin finance stuff to an extent, but i think the problem might be a little overblown. you know why politicians are 'in the pocket' of business elites? because politicians are usually from the same kind of background and share the same kinds of values. there is a very fine line between yale educated junior senator and yale educated junior mckinsey associate. i reckon the interests of finance and big business would be well represented even if politicians never had to accept a single contribution, because rich kids from good families simply share a common set of interests and values. there is no conspiracy here.

so yeah the campaign system is pretty ridiculous (for reasons that go beyond just the funding), but it is far from the most important issue.

i don't know. actually he's skilled as fuck and i was a fan going back to when section 80 came out. i remember listening to hol up in my friend tj's car, that was our jam that summer. but i am sick of the social justice stuff, i thought tpab was heavy handed, i don't like that he became the consensus best rapper of this generation (even though he may well be), some of the stuff he does with his voice annoy me... at bottom though its just some kind of gut repulsion, i don't know man.

I just hate circle-jerking. Especially when normies are involved, who don't even listen to music beyond a really narrow amount of mainstream pop and some Kendrick on the side when they're feeling "experimental"

GKMC is one of my 10/10 albums and it still doesn't impress me at all when someone says they love him.

IMO it's because my favorite album is my favorite album because of some really subtle aspect that is appealing to me and not to other people. But when you meet someone and they say they're favorite album is something so universally liked it seems like they didn't really try hard to find an album that means something to them. They just picked an easy one.

It's like saying your favorite food is pizza. It can be pizza and there's nothing wrong with that. You're just boring and picked the cop-out answer.
