It's an album written mostly about the lead singers best friend who died 7 years before.
A lot of the songs socially sound reasonably happy but the lyrics tend to reflect otherwise. You can tell by reading them it's mainly more him reminiscing about times he had before, rather than being all sadboi about it after he died.
Child Bride is a pretty sad song.
