>the live version of a song is 1000x better than the studio version
I honestly don't know why this is a thing with some artists
>getting my money's worth for a live experience
fucking outrageous i know
its dont
What is My Generation and every single cover version of it?

That's good though, it shows that the natural sound of the band is good and it's not just studio trickery.

so you mean all of 80's king crimson? they weren't exactly bad in the studio, but they absolutely were better live

>missing the point
Can someone with expirence explain why this actually ever happens?
You get a hundred tries or more to get the studio version of a song just perfect so how does a live version end up sounding being better?

Most times I like a live version is simply because it has a lot of energy
>>65338792
Could be any number of reasons desu
Bad mix/production on album, better energy, crowd involvement, adding and/or improvising to the song.

This too even tho I enjoy the studio versions as well.

Sometimes it's the circumstances of the live recording eg. Otokotachi no Wakare. They've practiced and performed the songs countless times and it's just a tearful occasion where it all comes out.
