how do you feel about 2016 plebcore?
Thats every popular album from this year except for Love Streams. Weak bait desu.
fuck off boldfaure
>>65314671
but 3 of those are great
>>65314706
Love Streams would be on there if it could have fit.
And no, that's objectively wrong. Plenty of popular albums aren't on it.
>>65314749
which ones lmao?
>>65314671
Take out Blackstar, BP, and Impossible Kid and I agree
take off stetson, bowie, and deakin and you're good
>>65314774
>>65314770
>any of those
>good
>>65314783

Any of them worth a shot?
>>65314774

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAA
That Gorecki "reimagining" was absolute trash
>>65314671
Feels good
>>65314671
>being this contrarian
inb4 being this pleb
Take off Beyonce, Drake, and Kanye. Then add you're top three AOTYSF and your good
>>65314761
Would Xiu Xiu be on there if it could fit?
Why are people suddenly saying Sorrow is pleb and overrated
I've never even heard a single person talking about it
>>65314838
Probably not t b h, but then again I don't know Twin Peaks
>>65314860
Because it's a shitty record held up by people who don't listen to classical music but want to pretend as if they do
Similar to Max Richter
How do I into 2016 music?
>Blackstar
>AMSP
>Sleep Cycle
>Impossible Kid
>Bottomless Pit
>White Album
None of these are pleb albums unless you're contrarian.
>>65314919
Hi newfag!
>>65314919
all of them are bad and highly overrated on this board
don't you have a job besides posting the same thing everyday?
oh wait thats right you dont :^)
ITT: needlessly contrarian bait and overly sensitive newfags

What's wrong with Fire Orchestra?
What about Ritual?
I haven't seen a single person praise that BBNG album.
>>65314993
Mediocre jazz similar to Stetson for classical
>>65315012
Newfag who doesn't browse often I guess
>>65315045
What's a better jazz album from 2016?
>>65315070

It's just as mediocre as everything else on this chart senpai. Adult Contemporary with aimless bleeps. I don't even hate James Blake but TCOA is when he went full-on Starbucks-core.
>>65315777
it's literally his less acessible album
whats the point m8
>>65315777
checkd
>>65315824
all those albums are bad and you should feel bad for liking them
>>65315749
Hi Fantano
its not like boldfaures picks for aoty are any better
Ever stop and think that sometimes something gets popular by being G O O D
>>65316157
except none of those are good
>>65315869
yo momma should feel bad for raising such a manchild
>>65316177
according to your values. you could change them at will if you wanted to. pls do
>>65316321
why would i want to?
>>65315966
what's wrong with em?
>>65315821
It's only his least accessible because it's long. Both in the individual songs and the cohesive album. Had this been shortened and some of the random bleeps been removed, you'd have Sam Smith's new album.
>>65316177
That's just straight up incorrect but whatever helps you feel cool on the internet kiddo.
>>65316349
to deal with it, literally
>>65316370
no, i'm right.
>There are people that have lived such depraved lives that the only way they can feel good about themselves is acting more "patrician" than people on the internet
>>65316361
Sleep Cycle is better than all of those
>>65316361
>James Blake
>>65316449
Give your thoughts on each of the far left column's albums.
>>65316392
whatever you say, youngster.
>>65316361
mfw post confield-autechre is plebcore
mfw maurice ravel is plebcore
mfw keiji haino is plebcore
i've oficialy ben TRIGERED
cry about it faggot
>>65316449
lol...
>>65316456
It's the best record he's released compositionally, balancing the experimental electronic glitches of self-titled with the lyricism of Overgrown, enhanced with a new classical edge bringing the ballads closer to lied than pop.
>>65316486
Who are your favorite composers?
>>65316508
this guy is right
>>65316508
Just because it is Blake's best doesn't make it a good album.
>>65316532
dj sharpnel and the guy that does the final fantasy soundtracks
>>65316593
What's your AOTY chart friend?
>>65316616
I haven't kept up with 2016 releases, "friend"
>>65316468
4 hours of self indulgent random glitches
avant teen modern classical
avant teen free improvisation
>>65316711
>avant teen modern classical
>avant teen free improvisation
No, I mean the musical content.
What did you think of the musical content?
>>65316729
i dunno i actually didn't listen to the bottom two
>>65316711
>4 hours of self indulgent random glitches
what was the highest math you took in high school
>>65316774
what does that have to do with that autistic ass album
>>65316754
lmao you can't make this shit up
delete your 4chan account right now, embryo
>>65316805
explain why they're good
explain why sleep cycle is bad
>>65316754
What a fucking joke...
>>65316361
>Same person who made the OP chart likes James Blake
>TCIA is more mediocre than anything on there sans memerap
>>65316799
they've stated more than a few times that they use loads of math in their music so if you think an exponential curve is random you're probably one of the kids who fits into the "american education system is a joke" statistic
>>65316890
I doubt they use anything outside of basic algebraic structures.
>>65316836
Clara Ionnatta manages to imbue the solitude present in Lachenmann's rather basic works with a sense of musicality, both in her love of tonality and her embracing of minimalism. Lumin is a highlight.
desu JOR Ambarchi and Haino is more of a filler spot since they always make good music
But I think I have a new spot-filler queued up, the new Shostakovich recording by the BSO
Sleep Cycle is just mediocre psych that AnCo has done for more than a decade now.
>>65316885
Give your opinions on the middle row releases.
>2016 plebcore
more like 2016 OP is a fucking faggot core
>>65316943
i wish i was that simple-minded
>>65314671
popular =/= bad
fucking hipster trash, I swear.
>>65316980
ok, specifically, what "math" do they use?
>>65316970
>>65314671
>People falling for this again
You posted the same thing yesterday. You just calls everybody a newfag if that happen to like one of the albums you posted
>>65317024
Epic meme bro.
>>65316986
Hipsters need to die
boldfaure what did you think of the new the field?
>>65317022
do you really want me to go full autism on this
I'd have to do more research but I know for a fact that the hi-hats in uviol follow a logarithmic curve
they've said that both drane and drane2 use exponentials to clock the percussion that they're feeding into their algorithms
and this is just what I heard from a friend but apparently the max patches they used in the oversteps/move of ten era use high level maths, something to do with the amplitude and compression in regrards to the reverb on some of the tracks. i'd have to ask him again for specifics, as this was a few years ago
>>65316949
I'm not that guy, but the praise you gave is pretty lacking in substance
>>65316986
Bad music = bad.
>>65317113
I didn't quite like it. It's similar to the new Stott where sonically there's a more vibrant palette but whereas Stott balances the new diversity of affect with equally engaging rhythms and melodies, I feel like The Field just came off as too generic.
But IDK, I really haven't given it enough of a chance. Don't take my opinion too seriously.
>>65317204
Have you listened to Lachenmann?
>>65317162
>I'd have to do more research
by this I mean I'd have to do more research on other tracks
>>65317113
>minimal techno
>good
>>65316949
I haven't heard them but how is that related?
>>65314671
This is lazy. You should try harder.
>>65317314
>I haven't heard them
So who cares about your opinion?

Kendrick Lamar - Blippie, blipster, artsy nah mean

Death Grips - A homeless derelict screaming over some broken nintendo game.
Car Seat Headrest - SUV mom music
Parquet Courts - Slacker? More like sucker.
Kanye West - bloated belly, bloated music.
Anohni - "IT'S SO TOUGH BEING TRANS 2k16"

Montie said, crying in his bed.
>>65317484

>>65317282

>>65314817
How so? I'm not familiar with the original.
>>65317523
So you just blindly liked the album because it's Colin Stetson then
Christ that's even worse
>>65317337
Me not hearing any records in your middle row and what I said about TCIA have no correlation. Please non-seqitur harder tho.
>>65317566
wtf what a bizarre extrapolation
I only listened to it once or twice when it came out but yeah I enjoyed it well enough. Kinda spooky as I recall.
yeah consider the O'Rourke/Haino/Ambarchi officially replaced
>>65317715
I saw Presto shilling it today on their homepage, will probably get to it today.
>>65317744
9th is by far the best recording I've heard, between Bernstein, Kondrashin, and Barshai (among more forgettable ones)
