ITT your favorite classical composer.
Pic related. Rachmaninoff is fucking based.

how xome most composers were hot as shit? is it because they were mainly upperclass and therefore came from good bloodlines and had good healthcare?
Agreed. Him and Chopin are my favorites.

yes

Rachmaninoff's music is garbage
Literally only plebs and piano students listen to him, the latter because they were forced to play him and developed Stockholm syndrome
He is a good pianist though
Cherubini probably
Dvorak and Sibelius
--they're "poppy" choices (if I can use that word that way), but I mean, what can I say? I like lush, romantic strings. Nothing wrong with that IMO.
>>65303423
just imagine him sticking it in your boipussy
Liszt, Grieg, Stravinsky, Ligeti, and Xenakis.

Reminder that listening to semi unknown classical doesn't mean you are intelligent or can understand music on any level past a top 40 listener.

No, I'm saying
Ive listened to classical since I was 5. Mom would take me to her symphonies where she played the viola. She had a bunch of tapes about classical history. Taught me how to play guitar at 8.
Poseurs like you on the other hand, look for stuff you think is obscure, skipping all forms of knowledge in music history, contempt with surface level knowledge that makes you look intellectual to people who arent into music.
which is why everybody that actually appreciates and knows music theory and music history hates you poseurs with a passion.
You aren't knowledgable, you aren't eclectic, youre just a compensating retard that knows nothing more of music than an average top 40 listener.
Honestly, it would have to be a split between Marin Marais, Ravel and William Duckworth.

I listen to music for the art of it.
>>65305746
Youre right, but how do you differentiate a poseur from someone that's actually knowledgable?

You enjoy appreciating the artistry behind the sounds. That's still a feeling it gives you.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me if it's obscure or popular. As long as I like it on a emotional and musical level, i'm okay. I agree that a lot of the more obscure music can be intellectual wankery, but that is ignoring the fact that not all great music becomes popular.
