Towards the end of this interview he talks about how he changed as a person and a songwriter when he made Ocean Beach and SFABG
he says something like, when he wrote the bunch of early songs that appeared on DCH and Rollercoaster/Bridge he was very angsty and self deprecating and he bot over it and grew up when he started making albums after that
shame that he stopped making the music that made him unique and regressed to conventional bluesy folk-rock
