all the real passion is gone. Mindless hooks are littered throughout the tracks because they have nothing left to say and are afraid of people getting bored. It's a masterful achievement but a calculated exercise that ultimately falls flat. It's exactly what is says on the tin. Shallow listening.

Here's what happened. Death Grips gave us closure with the whole break up/jenny death thing. We were waiting for it as their last album, and then those of us that saw them on the tour, well that was an even bigger more euphoric method of closure. Now this album feels like an afterthought, something slapped out at the end because "oh hey, more Death Grips."

It's actually good, but it's an album nobody wanted or needed.
