Flume is the 2010s EDM version of the 90s trance scene when everyone and their grandma made trance with freeware synths.
It sounds generic, toothless, sterile and made by someone that does not understands music but really, really, really wants to have the credibility from saying to people that they are a musician.

there absolutely is. in fact there's way too much of it.

this album delivered nothing new to the genre flume helped formalized. it would be a good album had it come out a few years back but people have already grown tired and moved on from this sound.

flume hasn't really shown he can do anything different, which is disappointing because I held him in pretty high regard as a producer.

with that said, skin is hardly shit. some moments remind me of N64 cartridge tilting.
