Their music is a dumbed-down version of more traditional atmoblack like Coldworld, with a few -core riffs here and there.
Even fucking Dimmu Borgir did the "pink and orange album cover" thing 20 years ago. AND they also did breakdowns 15 years ago on progenies.
Speaking of Dimmu Borgir, they merged meloblack, symphoblack, industrial BM and power metal and made it simultaneously catchy and accessible. That's a fucking feat compared to what Deafheaven is doing.
