REM is so weird
I've listened to pretty much their entire discog except their 2000s stuff and I'm sure I liked a lot of it. I've definitely been a big fan of AFTP and Murmur at different points in my life
But whenever I think REM, I think 'boring'. I don't even know why, I like a lot of their stuff. But just thinking about the band makes me feel bored. seems kind of unfair

It's their best warner album
this album sounds literally nothing like kid a
>hurr electronic influences in rock music must be kid a
fuck off

Are you literally me?

careful with that edge
OK, so of all the big alt rock "stadium" bands...
R.E.M. > Radiohead (although that could change depending on how RH's career plays out... at this point it looks like it probably will) > U2 > Arcade Fire (this one could swap, too) > Coldplay
This, objectively.

I miss the attempted /rem/ threads

iiiiim not sure about that u2 connection

I don't understand why people dislike that album. "Walk Unafraid" is top tier.

I still have a hard time choosing my favorite on this album, but usually Falls To Climb or Sad Professor. or diminished. or parakeet
