One of those reviews gave it an "A" grade. But even then, I think the review itself is more important than the score at the end. Especially if it's someone like P4K where the number is more a consensus than what the reviewer themselves might think. A recent example is like the Terminal Redux review where the review itself was far more glowing than the score it was given.

in the end all that really matters is what comes down to an individual case of, does this issue matter to you enough to not listen to gira or swans music, which is a fair stance to have if you feel strongly about it, and anyone trying to tell you that youre dumb for having contradictory beleifs about how you take in art and express what art you want to make or include yourself in, is a child. it all comes down to whether or not YOU PERSONALLY feel it will stop you from listening

The whole "false rape accusations NEVER HAPPEN GUISE" is horseshit man. OF COURSE this isn't the norm, but it fucking does happen and trying to sweep that under the rug is just silly. In indie rock alone off the top of my head I know that Isaac Brock from Modest Mouse and Conor Oberst from Bright Eyes were falsely accused of rape in the past.
I mean it's a case by case thing, for example I support Kesha and don't at all think she's lying, but that's due to contextual differences between that situation and the Gira one. I don't necessarily believe Larkin is flat lying, either, but I'm reserving judgment.

Positive claims are subject to burden of proof. Until proof is provided there is no rational reason to believe them. Thats the basis for my skepticism. When someone says "there is a unicorn in my garage" my default stance is skepticism until proof is presented and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

There is actually no real representative study that proves whether or not false rape accusations are statistically rare or not. There are way too many factors and getting such a statistic without either bias or a huge margin of statistical uncertainty. Sure, it would be easy to assume that it's low, but nobody really knows.
